Friends

This picture was taken yesterday before Rachel, Aubri, and Paige went to Homecoming at Paige's school. She wanted Rachel and Aubri to go along so she arranged dates for them. These three have been friends since grade school. I wish that I had a picture on my computer of them back when they first became such good friends but that was in my "pre-digital camera days". At times in their friendship, they have been closer than at other times, but they have always found their way back to each other. They have supported each other in so many ways over the years, through the ups and the downs that come with growing up. As I began writing this post, the song "Friends" by Michael W. Smith came to mind. The chorus of the song says,

Friends are friends forever,
If the Lord's the lord of all.
And a friend will not say never,
'Cause the welcome will not end.
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends.

My prayer is that no matter how far apart the miles may take them that they will always remain close friends.
