Farewell Party for Mari-Liis

Tonight we had a farewell party for Mari-Liis. It is hard for us to wrap our brains around the fact that she is leaving tomorrow. She didn't cry tonight because she said she doesn't feel like she is leaving tomorrow. Rachel was a little teary-eyed when Mari-Liis took one of her suitcases out to the van before our guests arrived. I have a feeling that tomorrow and the next couple of days are going to be really difficult for her. Mari-Liis has been like the sister she never had but always wanted. I can only hope that our time for a referral and travel will not be long in coming. We will certainly covet your prayers tomorrow.

Hope you are all doing OK. I'm sure you'll miss Mari-Liis. What a wonderful thing for all of you to have been together this past year. Goodbyes are difficult. And there will be some sad and difficult days ahead. Have a good cry or two - and maybe some ice cream. And know you have made a friend (no, I mean family!) for life.
